We Care. We Share. WIC.

Your organization’s voice can help Louisiana families.

Join the Louisiana Anti-Hunger Coalition in connecting families with WIC information and nutrition support. Beginning Monday, January 11, 2027, coalition members will share two important messages:

  • Use WIC first, then SNAP. Families receiving both programs can use their available WIC benefits first at checkout, then SNAP for other eligible foods.

  • Learn about WIC and see if you qualify. WIC offers eligible families healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals. It is more than infant formula.

You care. Sharing is one way to help.

The “we” in We Care. We Share. WIC. means your organization—your pantry, food bank, association, congregation, business or community group. You do not have to administer WIC to help families learn about it.

Our toolkit makes participation easy, with ready-to-use English and Spanish graphics, suggested social media captions, newsletter and article copy, email signatures, and instructions for adding your organization’s logo.

Choose what works for you.

The suggested five-week schedule includes two posts per week, but you decide how to participate. Share one post, repeat a message that fits your audience or use the full campaign. You can also share through newsletters, distributions, events and partner networks.

Getting accurate information to families is the most important goal.

Register your organization’s participation and download the toolkit to get started. Invite your partners, family, friends and neighbors to share, too.
