YES! We need people to show up in support of food security initiatives in Louisiana, especially with 1 in 6 Louisianians experiencing food insecurity and threats to SNAP (food stamps) looming.
The majority of event attendees will be associated with Feeding Louisiana’s 5 member food banks (Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, Food Bank of Central Louisiana, Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, and Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana).

There is not a strong chance of rain in the forecast for April 30, but spring in Louisiana can be unpredictable. We’re on for April 30, rain or shine!
The press conference, lunch, etc. will be taking place outside. The lunch area will be tented, but please plan for potential rain if you have concerns.
